The Csárdás Queen Grand Operetta

Szilvia Vereczky, the world-famous csárdás queen, gives her farewell performance on the Orfeum stage... After the celebrating audience has left, a farewell dinner follows. Szilvia bids a tender farewell to her lover, the young Prince Edwin Lippert-Weilersheim, who wants to follow her to America at all costs. But the count's family is on guard, because they want to marry Countess Stázi to Edwin. First Lieutenant Rohnsdorf appears on the scene, a reserve cavalry officer with a military draft notice, which the family has arranged specifically to separate Edwin from Szilvia. Edwin is therefore forced to enlist. But Edwin retaliates against the family's scheming: he hastily calls in a notary and commits himself to marry Szilvia within eight weeks. But then Count Bóni intervenes and presents a wedding invitation he has just received from Rohnsdorf...
