Summary
Cookies are used to improve the user experience of websites, provide personalized services, measure site traffic data, and ensure proper operation. This technology helps visitor navigation, stores settings, and can be used to enable online transactions. A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters sent by the server to the user's computer during website visits. Cookies generally do not contain personal information and cannot identify the user.
About cookies
The user can disable the use of cookies on their computer or delete them. (Depending on the browser: via the Settings or Options menu.) Browsers generally allow the placement of cookies by default. Cookies can be distinguished based on their validity period. Some cookies last only until the browser is closed (temporary cookies), or until a given task is completed. Certain cookies remain stored on the user’s computer beyond the session (persistent cookies). These can be deleted by the visitor at any time. Information collected by first-party cookies can only be processed and used by the given website. A website may also use external services, which in turn use their own cookies. These are called third-party cookies. More information on the management of these cookies can be found on the websites of the respective service providers, as data controllers. According to the opinion of the EU Data Protection Working Party, users must be informed even about the use of cookies that do not require consent.
Essential
Essential cookies are necessary for the use of the website and the operation of its functions; they do not collect information that qualifies as personal data. If these are disabled, the website or certain parts of it may not function properly or may not be accessible at all. Legal basis: pursuant to Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR, the legitimate interest of the data controller. Their validity period is limited to what is necessary and proportionate to achieve the purpose, i.e. only for the minimum required duration, covering the given visit. These cookies are automatically deleted at the end of the session or when the browser is closed.
